I used method 2. Yesterday I was making a bunch of videos for Youtube and my editor throws each video into a diferent folder, after that I just move all the videos into the same When I click on it I can browse my entire computer the same as if I was in Windows Explorer.

Disabling the on screen notification modifications it makes to the system seems to have solved the tooltip problem.
It doesn't happen anymore, but I'm not sure exactly when it changed. In my case I have found the problem was the Logitech SetPoint process crashing. Some people can't even delete the file or folder using the command prompt and this may be caused by having a really long name for the file/folder or having some strange Success!
