I cannot confirm with certainty if new speaker created the problem or if it was the update. did you manage to make yours work? One more tip to add on this page, do a whole check of your sound card driver. As soon as I did that, my sound returned to my internal speakers!!! I was cleaning PC inside, maybe something is unplugged ?
