Windows 7 64 Bit Mute No Longer Has An Effect.
Sound & Audio Power button doesn't always workI have one of the strangest issues I have come across. The icon at the bottom of the volume control displays the universal no symbol when a device is muted. Sound should now be audible through the device. Check the Logitech site, see if there are drivers for that particular KB. Source
Click Start , enter device into the search field, and then select Device Manager from the list when it becomes available. NOTE: The notebook speakers will not work if Bluetooth Speakers or Digital Output is selected as the default sound device. Under Select a power plan , click High performance or click Balanced . I'm not affiliated with the OpenOffice project to ask this, but I commented here because maybe someone from the Apache Foundation would like to do so. It doesn't impact me regularly (hence my waiting a few years before looking into it) but, when it does, it definitely impacts the way I use my computer. I appreciate the help. But in single fx mode, turning on/off the effect doesn't change the blinking of the button (it doesn't blink when effect is on). ive read that it can be caused by an update but i havent downloaded nor installed an update. If a down arrow displays on the volume icon , the sound device is disabled. Check your computer audio connections and speaker type and replace the speakers if they are the wrong type. It turns out I just needed to reinstall my audio drivers.
I'm a little confused - you say you had to reinstall the audio drivers, but you already had sound prior to that? The computer still makes the clicking sound through the speakers when I use the keys, but the player and sound buttons don't work.
